Es Ari CD received the Latvian Annual Music Award 2009
On February, 23, Es Ari received the Latvian Annual Music Award 2009 for the best Folk music album.
Latvian newspaper "Diena" wrote: "Es Ari album sounds like a deep fantastic dream out of the borders of time and space. These new contrasting intonations of Georgian – Latvian collaboration creates new sounds and new world perspective. Two different musical traditions enrich each other – the Nordic roughness becomes more playful when meeting with Georgian lyrical joviality. The trip, where you are taken by Es Ari doesn't demand the language knowledge - the words are just an addition to the rich musical and harmonical language."

The new CD Black Sea Fire is ready!
The work on the new CD Black Sea Fire is completed.
Wonderful musicians from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, Moldova, Germany and USA have put their talent and the fire of their hearts into this CD.
The CD will be published by the German label JARO Medien and although it will officially be sold from November, it can already be ordered on www.jaro.de.

Unique guitar for Zaza Miminoshvili
Since January, Zaza has been playing a new, unique guitar called JaZZ.
This guitar was created respecting Zaza’s special requests by the young luthier Daniel Stark.
The JaZZ is a globetrotter. She combines the colors of flamenco with those of jazz and classical music creating a seamless connection between the East and the West. The unique acoustic basis together with the hexaphonic pickup open a wide range of possibilities for orchestral and spherical sounds.

The Shin is recording a new album
From December 2008 The Shin is working in the studio on a new album. This time,
the special focus will be on the Black Sea region. The album, called Black Sea Fire, will feature guest
musicians such as Theodosii Spassov from Bulgaria, Fuat Saka from Turkey, Nariman Umerov from Ukraine and others.With Black Sea Fire The Shin envision the myth of the Black Sea with its fire, its temperament, its profundity, its emotion and unique salty sense of humour. We present to you the most colourful place on our blue planet – the Black Sea region.

The Shin gives three charity concerts in behalf of the war refugees in Georgia
One of the rules of Georgian polyphony says that the background sound of the choir has to be
smooth and uninterrupted. It means when the neighbour need to take a breath, you have to sing
for him. With their three charity concerts The Shin exactly as the singers of Georgian choir,
wants to support the war refugees in Georgia.
Part of the income goes to 120 refugees from Zhinvali and Gori region (among them 43 children), who live at the moment in the kindergarten No 39 in Tbilisi, which is temporarily converted to a refugee camp.

Summing up the EgAri tour...
During the spring, summer and autumn of 2007 we had a great time playing at about 40 concerts,
driving more than 14000 km, flying several thousands miles, eating more than 1440 sandwiches,
drinking more than 1080 litres of water, shooting 9 GB of photos, meeting many enthusiastic promoters,
great artists and a thankful audience in 18 countries! Thank you all!

Charity concert in Tbilisi
On 7th of June The Shin gave a Charity concert presenting their last album EgAri
at the Opera House in Tbilisi. Income from the concert will entirely be utilized for
the Childrens' Leukaemia Program. The concert is organized by the
Badri Patarkatsishvili's Charity Fund.

EgAri at WOMEX 2006 in Sevilla
The Shin with its project EgAri is invited to perform at WOMEX 2006 –
the worldwide music expo – to be held in Sevilla, Spain, from October 25 to October 29, 2006.
The performance will take place on October 26th in the Fibes Congress Centrum in the Al-Andalus Auditorium at 23:30.
The press-conference is on October 26th at 13:00 in Sala Mojácar.

Successful premiere of the Egari Project in Tbilisi
Finally, after all November misfortunes, the Egari project was successfully presented in Tbilisi on December 30th.
The show was recorded by the First Channel of Georgian Television.
